THE SOCIAL BLEND – Coffee with a Conscience

Satisfying your taste buds and your conscience, our “Social Blend” has a heart for both.
Our blend consists of 3 beans from some of the best coffee producing countries in the world:

 

Guatemala

The Guatemalan part of the blend comes from a family-owned farm. The family Monterroso provide social support to their workers and surrounding communities, actively contribute to the conservation of natural forests in the Mataquescuintla area, and work closely with neighbouring towns to provide healthcare and education.

This bean gives our blend great body with pronounced sweetness and
cocoa powder notes in the aftertaste.

Rwanda

Besides building a kindergarten school to serve the farmers’ children, the wash station we source our Rwandan coffee from uses a Farmer Management System to enhance the traceability of the coffee processed. This means the financial and social benefits go to the households of the people
that farm the coffee.

This bean gives our blend a beautiful citric acidity.

Colombia

Our Colombian component of the blend is certified Rain Forest Alliance coffee – not only is it better for the environment, but it’s also a higher quality bean.

This bean gives our coffee its buttery mouth feel and nutty flavours.
